Friday, May 13th, 2005

Looks like My Little Mochi posted the postcard swap album. Awesome stuff! Direct link to my ten are four, another four and the last two. I got more postcards but haven’t had a chance to scan them in to show them off yet.

Enhance Photos with Filter

Enhance your photos by using the High Pass Filter by Veerle. I hadn’t ever paid attention to what happens when I resize an image till I read Cameron Moll’s “Please Sweat the Small Stuff.” There’s a comparison in the comments of Moll’s, including the High Pass Filter.

Postcard Swap Participant

Monday, May 2nd, 2005

So, I signed up for my first postcard swap hosted by My Little Mochi. Sounded fun and simple enough.

I got 10 names. I then made a postcard for each person based on something on her site that inspired me. At first, I printed them out on presentation paper and was going to mail them like cards in an envelope. Then, last minute, I found some special postcard paper with the perforated edges and everything! Oh, and did you know that domestic US postcard stamps are less than Canada postcard stamps which are less than all other country stamps? Wild, eh? But they’re mailed!

Besides giving me more reason to play with Illustrator, it introduced me to wonderful artists I might never have seen! (I’ll post my images in a bit. Wanna give them some time to travel the globe.)

So far I have gotten three postcards and they are spiffy!
